Window Treatments a la Pattiwagon
I don't have any experience making curtains, but I have become a somewhat accomplished seamstress in the past year, and I have some great equipment. So I didn't hesitate when my friend Jackie asked me to make curtains and some other decor for her nursery. (After all, it was really for Bates. And who wouldn't want to do something sweet for such a sweet boy? Check out pictures on Jackie's blog. You will melt.) Curtain making was basically a lesson in precise measuring, clean cutting, and straight sewing. Three things I can always practice. It also gave me something to do during March Madness Sadness.

Oh my gosh, LOVE the new additions! You did so much! Where did you find the fabric? Did she add those pictures above the crib after or were they there to begin with (I think the wall was bare when I saw it). Awesome job!!!
ReplyDeleteI just did the windows and pillow. Jackie got the fabric from the company where she got the bedding. Artwork is a Jackie project. They look really cute! How was Africa??? Can't wait for a post about it!
DeleteYou made a cute window treatment for this room. The fabric is a nice choice; it's very warm and complement well with the color and design of the whole room. You even matched the fabric with the pillow and the crib. Two thumbs up for a job well done! #Roxie @ WindowTreatmentsPhiladelphia.com
ReplyDeleteMix and match is the key! If you have an extra fabric left for your window treatment, it's really a great idea to produce a pillow cover that will match it as well. The fabric you had there looks fascinating. The printed design goes well with the sky blue wall and baby items. Great job!
